Well, we have another snowstorm. How many posts can be written about new snow?
The thrill is gone!
So, I’ll write about spring hats. I have some. I’m the type who likes to collect things,
old things, and I have quite a few doll hats. I’ll share some with you since you have
asked . . .
I’ll start with my favorite–the take to that desert island type. It’s an old red straw
with a little leather clutch purse that came with it. It probably dates to
the 1950s. How cute is that?
I keep the hats in two old Bonwit Teller hatboxes. Remember Bonwit Teller?
I love the box with the violet designs. Next photo shows that box with a small
bunch of hats. Look for the little pale green organdy cloche . . .
and the dear little straw checked poke bonnet from the 40s and 50s . . .along
with a red taffeta plaid beret for some tall hard plastic gal . . .
We mustn’t forget the men———
And a fancy antique one, all velvet and ribbons:
OK, maybe that’s not a spring hat, but I knew you’d want to see it. Will finish
with another favorite—-are those real crow feathers?????
I think hats are back in fashion. Let’s go out and buy a new spring hat.
