some of my bookshelves

some of my books . . .

These are some bookshelves that house books that are

not classics, or literature.  These are more modern writers:

  • Barbara Pym—-Quartet in Autumn;
  • Alice Munro—–Selected Stories;
  • Ethan Canin—-Blue River;
  • Carson McCullers–Member of the Wedding;
  • Barbara Kingsolver–Poisonwood Bible;

There are French textbooks, and books in French because I

want to be able to learn enough French to read it for pleasure.

And there are books about books–more on this later.

On these shelves there are also some of my own children’s

books—a favorite being Bertram and His Funny Animals.

Is there anyone out there who knows the Bertram books????

All for now—nice rainy day to keep reading Jane Eyre.

You already know me---I'm in your book club. I've been in your book club in Wisconsin, in New York, in Missouri, in Connecticut. Now I'm in your book club in Pennsylvania. I love books! (I also collect buttons!) I'm looking forward to having conversations about books with people just like you----who also love books and want to talk about them. Send me an email: booksandbooks (at) me about a book you are reading. (or buttons of interest)
